He'll Or High Water

Sitting at the table
We spoke of life
Of the scorched land
Also of paradise

Marriage of heaven
With the union of hell
Combines the world
Where the gods’ fell

At the valley of souls
Standing on the edge
We shed tears of awe
As we beckon the dead

Drop all the earth
Grow up your gold
Behold a valley
Ful of dry bones

Gather up the grime
Clean it as such
Cook all the while
But just a touch

If you now see
Then take accord
It was written
By our savior

To live and die
And then be seen
Test the waters
Be sure they’re clean
